Welcome to Sabrina’s Hair Lounge curly hair section also known as textured hair. Curls come in all different curl patterns, but I believe that they all need the same amount of care and skill to cut and style them.
We cut natural curls using the curl by curl technique as well as using little tension allowing for the curls to do as they wish. We only cut curls when they are dry, so they fall into their natural form. Curls lack moisture so we strongly recommend after the hair cut having a moisturising treatment to get moisture back into those locks which help to define the curls and minimise frizz. The hair can then be left to dry naturally with products on or diffused for that styled look.
We will advise on the products needed from the amazing "Only Curls" range for your hair which are available to purchase in the salon or ordered for you as well as how to apply them and style the hair. This way of cutting is only for natural curls and for people that don't wear their hair straight.
Please arrive with your curls in as natural state as possible. Cleansing beforehand is not always necessary as we’ll be cleansing again during the service but please don't have loads of products on there. 1-2 days worth is ok. Please do not arrive with hair tied into a tight bun etc. If your hair is either very matted or tangled I may need extra time and a detangling fee may apply.
